Imperial War Museum Duxford is Britain's largest living and working aviation museum. Home to classics like Spitfires, a B17, the prototype Concorde and a Lockheed Blackbird, it is the ultimate spot in which to fly a light aircraft. You begin on the ground with a briefing of flying and safety techniques, before climbing aboard your dual-controlled two-seater training plane with a fully-qualified instructor. It's then 'chocks away' for your 30 minute flight, during which (at the pilot's discretion) you will take the controls and experience the thrill of flying a plane. Once back on the ground you can learn more about the plane you have flown, along with others like it, as your experience includes free entry into the museum itself.
